Puerto Rico Civil Registrations indexed and searchable at Ancestry.com

A big THANK YOU to Ancestry.com for creating a searchable database of indexed records for the Puerto Rico Civil Registration.  These records have been available online for free for a few years now at FamilySearch, and previously available to view on microfilm.  I’m so happy those FamilySearch resources are still available for free for all the research I still need to do.  So while you do need a paid subscription to use the indexed records at Ancestry.com, this may encourage more people with Puerto Rican roots to do some searching since it was not easy to look through records image by image until going cross-eyed.  Hopefully with more people researching, there may be many more cousins out there for making connections.  Check out this blog post for more information:
